Justice System – Involved Services (Mandated)

Coordination service provided to individuals in the justice system.

Oakdale: Hospital services provided at Iowa Medical & Classification Center.

State resource centers: Inpatient is for per diem charges at Resource Centers Glenwood and Woodward.

Commitment Relate: Court-ordered services related to mental health commitments.

Evaluations: Diagnostic evaluations related to commitment used when an evaluation is performed related to a commitment under Iowa Code Section 229.

Sheriff transport: Used when transportation is provided related to a commitment under Iowa Code Section 229.

Legal representation: Used when legal services are provided related to a commitment under Iowa Code Section 229.

Mental health advocates: The Code of Iowa, section 229.19, governs the MH Advocate position.  The advocate is assigned to individuals under an involuntary outpatient civil commitment.
